Mark Rime Experience: 33 year Teamster Mark has been a member of Local 638 since 1975 when he went to work for United Parcel Service as a part-time hub employee and eventually went full-time as a package car driver in 1977. Mark was hired at Local 638 in 1992 as a Business Agent, subsequently served as Recording Secretary and Vice President, and is currently Secretary Treasurer of the Local. Mark is a Union Trustee on the Local 638 Health and Welfare Fund. In 2001, Mark was elected to be a trustee on Minnesota Joint Council 32 and in 2007 elected Recording Secretary. His is also Teamster Chairman for the Central Region and Tri-State UPS Grievance Panels.
Brad Johnson Experience: 37 year Teamster johnsonb@teamsterslocal638.org A Teamster member since 1971, Brad is an active member of various committees, including: Secretary Treasurer for Minnesota D.R.I.V.E. Commission, Trustee for the United Labor Committee, Member of the Teamsters/UPS – Article 43 National Committee, JAC Grievance Panel Member and Secretary Treasurer of the Jack. J. Jorgenson Charitable Trust Fund. In addition, he has served as Union Steward as well as Local 638 Trustee and Vice President.
Jeff Eckman Jeff has been on staff with Local 638 since 1997. During that time, he has taken on a variety of responsibilities, including past service as a UPS Committee person and Union Steward. He was previously on the Executive Board as a Trustee, then as Recording Secretary and now serves as Vice President. Jeff has also served as a Delegate to the IBT International Convention, the IBT's Human Rights Commission and as a labor member of the Minnesota State Department of Labor and Industry – Rehabilitation Review Panel. Jeff currently serves as a Director of the Teamsters Joint Council 32 Education Committee, a member of the Board of Directors for the Teamsters Credit Union as well as a Teamsters Joint Council 32 representative on the MN Change to Win Leadership Council.
Trevor Lawrence lawrencet@teamsterslocal638.org A Local 638 member since 1995, Trevor has more than 20 years in the labor movement as an Organizer and Business Agent. He is an active Teamsters JC32 representative and a Union Trustee, where he focuses on the Local 638 Health and Welfare, Eye and Dental Fund. In addition, Trevor is a member of a number of committees, including: Teamster Service Bureau - Community Task Force, Local 638 Representative for the Twin City Area Labor Management Council and United Way Labor Participation Committee, steering committee of the Twin Cities Religion - Labor Network and United Way Labor Participation Committee. Other committee responsibilities consist of the Nellie Stone Johnson Scholarship Committee, President of the Minnesota Chapter Teamsters National Black Caucus and Board of Directors member for the Minnesota Film and TV Board. |
