The Minnesota Teamster informs our membership on local union election activities, political endorsements and legislation we support, as well as day-to-day news which affects working families locally and nationally. Minnesota Teamster newspaper editor Duane Johnson (has enjoyed a rich history in the Teamsters. Duane began his career in Detroit, Michigan, where he helped establish the Michigan Conference of Teamsters Health and Welfare Fund. He worked at the IBT in Washington, D.C., before moving to Minnesota in 1971 to work with Teamsters. He began editing the Minnesota Teamster in the mid-1980s.
