THE ENDORSEMENT PROCESS
Minnesota Drive's activities are supported by contributions from Joint Council 32 and its active and retired members. We endorse candidates after they complete a questionnaire and a personal interview with our screening committee, made up of our DRIVE Commission and interested members.

Since Minnesota's Teamsters are famously independent, our endorsements span the political spectrum. Our endorsements serve as recommendations to our members. We sponsor DRIVE Days where members can interact with candidates as part of our endorsement process.

What does Drive's endorsement bring to a candidate? While we make financial contributions, our best contribution is the support of our politically engaged membership. DRIVE Commission members and members of our Local

Unions campaign for endorsed candidates, keeping the members informed of candidates' positions on labor issues.

Not only do Teamsters vote, we volunteer for campaigns, attend political conventions, and talk to our families and neighbors to get out the vote. Our success in electing pro-labor leaders will determine the quality of life enjoyed by the next generation of working Americans.
